Exactly! What is the use if you aren't having fun. I am so sorry for your loss of your father (lost mine in 2001 and my Mom just last summer) - all the more reason to enjoy your photography and special outing with your adorable little boy.

Thank you for posting this, I lost my dad in June of 2007 and his birthday is this Sunday. I keep thinking it will get easier, and I guess in some ways it has, but things will never quite be the same again. Times like these though, little outings for no reason, do make life better for me. I have always loved winter, but this year, as the temperatures have gotten warmer, and the flowers and trees have started blooming, I feel like I am coming out of hybernation. I have never been so happy to see the sun. I am ready for weekend roadtrips to nowhere, to take pictures just for fun.

Again, thank you for posting this, your son is adorable.
